Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out what you may not do with servers provisioned through CAIport. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We enforce it firmly to protect our customers, the infrastructure we run on, and the wider internet.
1. Prohibited uses
You must not use your servers, the network, or the API to do, host, transmit, or facilitate any of the following:
1.1 Illegal content & activity
Anything illegal under Australian law or the law applying to your users — including child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence, or any other unlawful content or conduct.
1.2 Spam & phishing
Sending unsolicited bulk email or messages, operating spam infrastructure, or running phishing, credential-harvesting or other deceptive sites.
1.3 Malware, botnets & command-and-control
Creating, hosting or distributing viruses, worms, ransomware or other malware; operating botnets; or running command-and-control (C2) infrastructure.
1.4 Crypto-mining & resource abuse
Cryptocurrency mining is prohibited. You must not deliberately abuse, overload or attempt to circumvent the resource limits of your plan.
1.5 Denial-of-service attacks
Originating, participating in, or amplifying denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks against any target.
1.6 Attacks on third parties
Unauthorised port scanning, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, intrusion attempts, or any other attack against systems you do not own or have explicit written permission to test.
1.7 Infringing content
Hosting or distributing content that infringes the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
1.8 Bandwidth fair use
Network transfer is subject to fair use. Sustained patterns that are abusive, or that degrade the service for other customers, are not permitted.
2. Enforcement
We operate automated abuse detection and an Australia-first abuse gate. Where we detect a violation, or reasonably suspect one, we may take action at our discretion — including throttling, suspending, or immediately stopping or destroying a server using our kill-switch right, without prior notice where necessary to protect the service or third parties. Serious or repeated violations may result in termination of your account. We may also cooperate with law-enforcement and report illegal activity as required by law.
3. Reporting abuse
If you believe a server hosted on CAIport is being used in breach of this policy, please report it to cl@demfilz.com. Include the IP address or server details and a description of the activity, with any supporting evidence such as logs or timestamps. We investigate all reports promptly.
